Registration for the Stowe Bill Koch League

The Stowe Nordic Outing Club will be holding registration for the Bill Koch Nordic Ski League to run on Tuesdays 3:00-4:30 pm from January through March 2008.

Registration will take place on the following dates:

November 1 (Thursday) November 6 (Tuesday)

3-4pm (stay on for the SNOC Open House 2:45 – 4:00 PM

Golden Eagle Resort Library Room Stowe Elementary School Cafeteria

The Program

Named after Vermont native and 1976 Olympic Silver Medalist, Bill Koch, the Bill Koch League’s mission is to introduce young people to the lifelong sport of cross-country skiing with all of its recreational, social, fitness and competitive opportunities. The program is open to children 5-13. The cost for the program is $75 for the first child and $50 for each additional child for the season. This includes the required $20 membership to New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) and the $45 family membership to the Stowe Nordic Outing Club (SNOC).

Changes this year

• Children ages 5-6 must be accompanied by a parent or designated guardian.

• Participants will need their own equipment, either rented or it can be purchased at a discounted rate at locations to be announced. Note: There will be limited equipment available from the touring center for the season on a first come, first serve basis. Please arrange for this at registration.

• A late fee of $10 will be added to all applications not received before November 26^th.

Ski equipment can be sold at the Nov. 1^st registration.
