Welcome to the Stowe Nordic Outing Club

Stowe Nordic Outing Club (SNOC) is an organization of nordic ski enthusiasts in the Stowe, Vermont region. The club puts on a Wednesday race series, organizes a Bill Koch Youth Ski League program, and a low-key masters ski race team. A season pass to the three nordic touring centers (Trapps, Mt. Mansfield and Topnotch) is available to club members. The club is affiliated with NENSA. We welcome all, whether you're new to skiing or a master of the sport! Help Preserve Bolton Valley Nordic and Back Country

The Vermont Land Trust has just entered an agreement to purchase a critical piece of land at Bolton Valley. More info is available at their web site.  Also, a presentation describing the agreement and the work ahead was presented to the Friends of Bolton Valley Nordic on March 9, the day before the announcement.  There are 2 excellent maps near the beginning of that presentation that shows the boundaries of the land and what trails it contains.
Wed Race Points Winners

Congrats to the top three women and top three men in Wednesday Races points earned.  Women (1st to 3rd):  Colleen McGovern, Becky McGovern, Carrie Nourjian.  Men: John Witmer, Steve Messier, Nathaniel Wells.  For the complete list of all who did 4 or more races click here.
Costume Race & End of Season Party

UPDATED:  Last Wednesday race of the Season and it is the Great Costume Race!!! Search your closets, paw through your trunks. Handicaps based on quality of costume. Stowe Mountain Resort. Registration at 4PM; Race at 4:30PM; followed by End of the Season Party in the Yurt beginning at 5:30PM. All SNOC members are invited! UPDATE:  Race is on with different course....best to bring waxless rock skis and a GREAT costume!!
Moonlight Ski 3/9 - CANCELLED

Yesterday's warm rainy weather followed by below freezing temps today left the Rec Path in no shape for a fun evening ski, but keep an eye out for future SNOC Full Moon Ski events...
